while the global reality seems to be inverting and scrambling more and more every day, I am working hard to ground myself in my beliefs, in humanity, and in transformative justice. Policing does not keep us safe. Violence does not end violence. Attacking and threatening students with militarized police while self proclaimed nazis are allowed to "peacefully demonstrate" on campus grounds... I think back to my experience as a college student, as a graduate student, and how disempowered I felt in moments of social injustice. I'm so proud of and inspired by the work these students and educators are doing right now.
